The Jeep Cherokee is a small SUV with big capability. Its interior is spacious and comfortable, despite its easy to maneuver compact size. Of course, it also has the capability that you would expect from a Jeep. In 2021, this vehicle gains more standard driver-assistance features than ever before. There is also a new Latitude Lux trim level for Utica shoppers to check out on a visit to Cooper Country.

In total, there are three powertrain setups to consider for the 2021 Cherokee. Standard for the Latitude and Latitude Plus models is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 180 horsepower along with 171 pound-feet of torque.

If New Hartford, NY shoppers choose the all-new Latitude Lux or the Limited trim, they have two engines to consider. First up would be the 3.2-liter V6 that turns out 271 horsepower and 239 pound-feet of torque. The second option is a turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder that produces 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. The Trailhawk® is available exclusively with the V6.

Front-wheel drive is standard for most Cherokee models, and four-wheel drive is available. The exception would be the four-wheel-drive Trailhawk®, which is the most off-road-oriented option on the list. This model also gets all-terrain tires along with a locking rear axle and special "rock mode" for hitting the trails around Ilion.
